As we start to welcome you back to the park, we have put together our ‘Let’s Protect Each Other’ charters that summarise what we are doing to keep you safe and what we ask you to do to keep each other safe and the park a relaxing place to be. Please read this before visiting and sure that any guests you may have also read it.

LETTER TO OWNERS 25th June 2020

We emailed all owners (or posted a letter to those we do not hold email addresses for) on 24th June and we have received questions about owners being able to come down prior to the 4th July to prepare their caravan for opening. We have specifically checked this point and I am afraid that we are unable permit owners onto the site until 4th July. I can confirm that Orchard Caravans have completed all caravan reinstatements unless we have been given other instructions by the owner and 2019 owner car passes and privilege cards remain valid. We look forward to seeing you soon.

UPDATE 23rd June 2020

Following the Government announcement on the re-opening of holiday parks in England, I am delighted to confirm that we will commence our cautious and phased re-opening of Pinewoods by opening to Holiday Home owners only on 4th July from 11am and in accordance with Government guidance. We will be contacting all owners by email on Wednesday 24th June to provide further details. We very much look forward to welcoming you back to Pinewoods.

Our current plan for our phased reopening continues with a significantly reduced hire fleet available from 13th July and touring pitches, at significantly reduced capacity, from 22nd July. Please note that bookings affected by the reduced capacity in July have already been contacted.

Firstly, thank you for all your messages of support to our Pinewoods team, we have all enjoyed receiving encouraging emails and telephone calls from our owners who like us are keen to get the park re-open as soon as it is safe to do so. It has been a challenging period with a great deal of on-going uncertainty about when the park will be able to re-open to holiday home owners. As many of you will know, various trade associations like the British Home and Holiday Park Association (BH&HPA), National Caravan Council (NCC) and UK Hospitality have been speaking to government about the safety of “self-contained units” which are of course sited with a minimum of 5 meters between units. As things stand, we remain in the same situation as my last update and continue to await guidance about the phasing of re-opening businesses that have been required to remain closed. We hope that the work our trade association has done on our behalf has convinced the government that owner’s holiday homes should be in the first phase and there has been much media speculation about whether the date of 4th July will be moved forward. In preparation we are making arrangements to be ready to open the park safely to you as soon as we are permitted to do so. Naturally there will be some changes to the way we operate and we will provide an update on the steps we will take to be COVID-19 secure for the safety of you, our team and local community. I cannot emphasis how keen our team is to re-open and welcome you all back.

Kindest Regards

UPDATE 12th May 2020

The Government’s “Plan to Rebuild: The UK Government’s COVID-19 recovery strategy” announced on Monday 11th May, confirmed that holiday parks are one of the businesses required to remain closed until 4th July 2020 at the earliest. We understand that the Government’s ambition at Step 3 is to open at least some of the remaining businesses and premises that have been required to close. Therefore, we will put in place plans to re-open on 4th July at the earliest and subject to Government advice in accordance with the COVID-19 Secure guidelines. Once we have more information on how and exactly when we may phase our opening of Pinewoods we will provide further, more detailed updates.

In the meantime, we will continue to work through all holiday and tourer bookings up to 3rd July 2020 and if you have a booking with us, one of our team will contact you in order of your arrival date to discuss your options, which as before include moving your holiday to a later date this year or next year, a credit note or a full refund. Thank you for your patience as we operate with a significantly reduced bookings team. We very much look forward to welcoming you back when we are in a position to re-open.
