The Picnic - A VIP summer festival like no other
Posted: June 08th 2021
Are you staying with us this June? Then we have just the thing to make your trip extra special, and you won’t have to travel far to enjoy it!
For those craving some quality time with family and friends, delicious food and fizz and a dose of live (yes, live is back!) entertainment, then The Picnic at Holkham is for you.

The Picnic is a VIP summer festival like no other, with private fairy-lit pergolas and picnic areas set amid the iconic Temple tucked away in the woods at Holkham. An outdoor stage will sit adjacent to the Temple showcasing a daily-changing eclectic mix of live entertainment, from urban soul orchestra, ballet, disco yoga, stand-up comedy and gospel to new music talent, musicals in the park, Teddy Bear’s Picnic, Wilderland Wildlife film festival screenings and virtuoso performances from the Royal Academy of Music.
For a flavour of what’s on offer, just watch this short video:
With such a mix of talent, there is something to suit the whole family - you can even bring your canine companions, providing they are on a lead. Sustainability sits at the heart of The Picnic, whose collective thinking embraces a mindful approach to nature and eco-living.

Whilst you sit back and enjoy the return of live entertainment, you’ll be tucking into a handmade and carefully crafted graze box either from the plant, from the farm, from the sea or an afternoon tea, there’s even one for the kids.

To quench your thirst, The Picnic will be serving a selection of fine wines from Sea Change Wine – a family-run business founded over 15 years ago turning the tide on plastic pollution in our oceans.

A vintage rolling bar will also be on site and well-equipped so you can enjoy a glass of Pimms with your picnic.

There are also options to make your booking extra special with Special Occasion Packages, with add-ons such as birthday cakes and decorations, champagne, flowers, chocolates, mermaid makeovers and glitter kits.

Dates span from 17th - 27 June and times vary according to performances. More details and booking can be found at www.thepicnic.com. If you are staying with us during this time, keep an eye on your inbox as a discount code is coming your way very soon!
