Wells-next-the-Sea

Wells-next-the-Sea is a popular coastal town with a thriving community and picture postcard quay dotted with fishing and sailing boats. Walk up and along Staithe Street and you’ll discover a theatre, shopping and fantastic eateries, pubs and more.

We are so fortunate at Pinewoods to be tucked away behind the historic pine woods and backing onto Wells beach and the Holkham National Nature Reserve. However, just a brisk walk along the footpath or a minute’s bus or car ride along Beach Road and you’ll find yourself in one of the prettiest seaside towns Norfolk has to offer – Wells-next-the-Sea.

Beyond the bustling harbour with its nostalgic quayside offering fish and chips and quaint amusements, sits Staithe Street and the Buttlands. There you will discover Wells Maltings with its excellent programme of events and screenings, as well as boutique shopping, independent cafés and local butchers, greengrocers and bakers. You’re guaranteed to come away with everything you require for a tasty meal based on local ingredients to a new wardrobe and gifts for friends and family.

The town also boasts various eateries from The Wells Crab House and The Crown to The Globe and Two Magpies to name only a few. Why not eat your way around Wells and let us know your favourite foodie haunts so we can share them with others.
