Grab a bike and helmet, and get out there! Explore Norfolk’s landscapes, lanes and coastal paths on two wheels.

Wells-next-the-Sea is on the Sustrans National Cycle Route 1, with easy links with other towns and villages close by.

Many delightful coastal villages are within easy reach, but you can also avoid the crowds and head inland on quieter roads where there are some wonderful villages to explore.

Cycling from Wells

You might like to:

– Cycle along the back track to Holkham Beach then up into and around Holkham Village and Holkham Park. Holkham Park cycling routes

Nearby Holkham Park is a wonderful place to cycle around, with seven way-marked trails to follow. These vary from just over 2 miles to 6 miles, including tarmac, grass, wooded and gravel tracks, giving you the chance to discover the Park’s lake, woodland and buildings.

You can hire bicycles (including electric bikes) at Holkham throughout most of the year.
