Pinewoods Holiday Park

Stay by the sea: Caravan and motorhome pitches

Wake up to wide skies, grazing marshes and some of North Norfolk's best wildlife.

Spoonbill Drift Touring Park

Set on the edge of Pinewoods, beside the Holkham National Nature Reserve, our Spoonbill Drift Touring Park offers 116 spacious pitches for touring caravans and motorhomes in a truly special location.

With wonderful open views across the marshes, countryside and reserve, it's a place where nature takes centre stage. You'll park up under wide skies, amid abundant wildlife with the backdrop of Wells-next-the-Sea. A pitch that feels a world away, while the beach, town and harbour remain within easy reach.

Our touring park offers generous spacing, with wild planting throughout. Each pitch includes a three-by-nine metre fibre-reinforced grass standing area with porous grid paving, along with electric hook-up, fresh water and grey water waste connections.

Looking after this environment is incredibly important to us. The areas between pitches are managed to encourage wildlife and support biodiversity. This helps support the parks winter role as a grazing marsh, providing a seasonal home for over-wintering Brent Geese, Pink-footed Geese and Wigeon long after our summer guests have departed.

Our dog-friendly touring park is also home to two award-winning amenity blocks, offering modern toilets, showers, washing-up facilities and launderettes. Be sure to look up and spot their living roofs.

Restrictions on our touring park

Our Spoonbill Drift is a dedicated touring caravan and motorhome site. To comply with our Site Licence and Fire Regulations, we can only accommodate touring caravans, motorhomes and motor caravans recognised by the DVLA.

Unfortunately, this means we are unable to accept tents, trailer tents or folding campers on touring pitches, either as the main unit or alongside a touring caravan or campervan. We also operate a no commercial vehicles policy.

Why Pinewoods?

Few touring parks can put you this close to the coast. From your pitch, you can walk through the pines to Wells Beach, explore miles of sandy shoreline, discover the salt marshes of the Holkham National Nature Reserve and return in time for sunset over the sea.

Whether you're here for wildlife watching, long walks, cycling quiet coastal lanes or simply slowing down for a few days, there's always something to enjoy on your doorstep. Look out for seals along the coast, migrating birds overhead and the ever-changing colours of the marshes throughout the seasons.

And when you're ready for a change of pace, Wells-next-the-Sea's independent shops, cafés, pubs and bustling harbour are all within easy reach, and Holkham Park and Beach are just a few miles away.

It's this combination of coast, nature and space that brings so many guests back to Pinewoods year after year..

Wells-next-the-Sea

Wells-next-the-Sea is one of North Norfolk's best-loved coastal towns. Its bustling harbour, sweeping sandy beach, pine woods and colourful beach huts have drawn visitors here for generations.

Spend your days wandering along the shoreline, exploring the coastal paths and nature reserves, or cycling through the surrounding countryside. However you choose to spend your time, there's always a reason to slow down and enjoy the view.

Back in town, you'll find independent cafés, pubs, restaurants and shops lining the quayside and Staithe Street. Pick up coffee and pastries, enjoy fish and chips by the harbour, browse local galleries and boutiques, or simply watch the boats and fishermen come and go, with an ice cream in hand.
